Our story
A young, fast-growing Azerbaijani company built on more than a decade of agriculture — and a commitment to quality, heritage and sustainable business.

Our history
The company’s history originates from 2013, when it was called G5 Agro and was exclusively engaged in the cultivation of pomegranate and grape for export. The idea belonged to a group of businessmen drawing on many years of experience developing agriculture in Azerbaijan.
In 2021, Aran Bio Energy — together with one of the most modern factories in Azerbaijan, “İsmayıllı Şərab 2” — began producing pomegranate and grape wines under the Yaqut brand. Autochthonous Bala Mürsəl pomegranate and the traditional Madrasa and Bayan Shira grapes give the products their unique taste.

The land
The Bala Mürsəl pomegranate, an autochthonous variety of Azerbaijan known since the beginning of the 20th century, is grown in the village of Muganly, Kurdamir Region, where the local soil yields especially juicy fruit — later exported to Kazakhstan, Ukraine and a number of Asian countries.
Combining many years of experience growing agricultural products with knowledge of winemaking is how pomegranate wine under the Yaqut name was born: the Bala Mürsəl variety produces wine material of exceptional quality and taste. Aran Bio Energy remains a young, rapidly growing company with sustainable business principles.
